Some Dota 2 fans are paying more than €1,000 for TI9 tickets

The good news for Dota 2 fans wanting to watch The International live is that TI9 tickets are still available. The bad news is, they cost a small fortune.

Tickets for TI9 sold out in less than one minute when they went on sale in May but fans desperate to catch the action live in Shanghai, China, are still able to buy tickets from secondary sales sites.

Weekday bundles were originally priced at €65, with weekend bundles available at €273.

Predictably, with the event less than a week away, prices have rocketed to multiple times the original amount, with some tickets for grand finals weekend selling for more than €1,027 - that's even more than all levels in the TI9 Battle Pass.

TI9 hype is real

The full TI9 schedule is yet to be revealed but the event starts on August 15th, with the final due to be held on August 25th.

It promises to be one of the most eagerly anticipated Internationals ever, with record Battle Pass sales contributing to the largest prize pool in Dota 2 history.

For those who want to be at the Mercedes Benz Arena but haven't yet got a ticket, the question is - how much is too much?

If you're not lucky enough to have TI9 tickets, you can find all upcoming matches and live streams in a choice of languages at Luckbox.
