The fact that it can reach the masses very easily and its appeal to a young population attracts the attention of many brands whose target audience is the young generation.

Aware of this potential, large companies in other industries are looking for ways to decouple the gaming industry with their own companies, and often this collaboration provides a useful return.

Here we are with the 10 collaborations between esports and other industries, in no particular order.

1. Louis Vuitton - League of Legends

Louis Vuitton has become one of the favorite clothing brands of all fashionistas with its exotic designs created differently from other brands. The French brand made its debut in the esports industry through its collaboration with League of Legends of Riot Games.

Their collaboration started in 2019 when the League of Legends World Championship Finals was held in Paris. Other than that, there was also a collection which featured about 40 products while many of them cost over $1.000. Both the skins inside of the game that were designed for heroes Qiyana and Senna and other 40 products were designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere, the director of women’s collections for Louis Vuitton.

2. Spotify - League of Legends

The popular application which every music lover has on their phone and can satisfy their daily music needs, made its first entry into esports by creating a playlist called "This is League of Legends" for Riot Games' and the animated action-adventure series Arcane.

Riot Games has shown us many times how much it cares about music in all the products it has made so far through the agreements they have made with various artists. Thanks to this playlist, which they created together with Spotify, it has become possible to listen to all the songs produced so far from just one list.

3. Intel - Electronics Sports League (ESL)

Undoubtedly, one of the largest technology companies in the world, the American-based Intel, is one of the few companies in the history of esports that has been very closely involved in deals since the early days when it realized the potential of the esports industry and laid the foundation.

The world’s biggest esports company Electronic Sports League (ESL) and Intel has been keeping their sponsorships very tight for 20 years. Also, it is possible to see Intel's name as the main sponsor for most of ESL tournaments.

Lately, two best friends in the esports industry made a decision to invest $100 million in esports between 2022-2025.

4. BMW - Rocket League

BMW, one of the few brands that comes to mind when it comes to luxury cars, the German manufacturer of cars, motorcycles, engines and bicycles, has become one of the largest sponsors in the history of esports, especially thanks to its partnerships with Rocket League in esports.

In recent years, with the agreement of BMW and Rocket League, the German vehicle manufacturer BMW has become the name sponsor of the Rocket League Open and Rocket League Freestyle tournaments.

5. Red Bull - Various Games

Similar to Intel, another brand that was included in the esports industry early on and gained a solid place is Red Bull, an energy drink manufacturer and known for its sponsorships in most sports branches.

Red Bull has made its first official deal in the esports arena with the famous Halo player David Walsh. Red Bull, which has never stopped believing in and supporting esports, has also sponsored esports core games such as Dota 2 and StarCraft 2.

With their $578 million investment in the esports industry in 2021, they have proven to us in a tremendous way how they still stand firmly and relevant in this industry for more than 14 years.

6. Mercedes Benz - ESL, SK Gaming, Riot Games

Mercedes-Benz, another German vehicle manufacturer company, has managed to make a big noise in the esports industry since their foray about 5 years ago, and has become one of the biggest names in the history of esports.

The brand's involvement in esports began in 2017 when it became a partner of ESL, one of the largest esports companies in the world, and deepened in October 2018 when it became the ESL Global Mobility Partner.

In 2019, Mercedes-Benz took the step of becoming the first vehicle manufacturer to invest in an esports team. The involvement with SK Gaming is an expression of the brand's commitment to professional gaming.

In 2020, Mercedes-Benz became the exclusive automotive partner of all Riot Games' global League of Legends esports events - the Mid-Season Invitational, Worlds and the All-Star Event.

7. Gucci - Fnatic

Gucci, a well known fashion brand across the world has not kept itself short of esports either.

Gucci made its first deal with the famous esports organization Fnatic, proving how big a deal it has signed by managing to sell all its products in as little as 48 hours.

Gucci, which is not limited to Fnatic, has also released products with the Los Angeles-based esports organization 100 Thieves, and in the same way, these products have received a lot of attention.

8. Pepsi - Mountain Dew - Mountain Dew League

Mountain Dew, which has been in the industry for more than 17 years to quench the thirst of all esports fans, has found a place on our list with its consistency.

This beverage brand has also sponsored teams such as Team Dignitas, and SK Gaming, which are well known to esports lovers. In addition, they also created their own league for Counter-Strike Global Offensive under the name Mountain Dew League.

9. Lamborghini - Rocket League

Lamborghini, the car brand that graces every person's dreams with its enormous Italian design, breathed new life into esports with its agreement with Rocket League in 2021.

10. FTX - TeamSoloMid

In a world where we are starting to hear things like cryptocurrencies and the metaverse quite often, it would be something unexpected not to see collaboration with esports, which is at least as new as these terms.

FTX, a Bahamian-based cryptocurrency exchange company founded in 2019, has made a very ambitious entry into the sector by acquiring the naming rights of the Team SoloMid team for $210 million in 2021.

As written in the contract, the parties signed a seven-year agreement and also became the owners of the longest agreement period in the history of esports.
