Team Liquid

Team Liquid, a professional esports organization founded in 2000 in the Netherlands, is on par with the introduction of VALORANT esports and shows its diversity. On August 7, 2020, they officially began their VALORANT esports journey by signing with the British organization fish123, once a dominant force in VALORANT.

Looking at Team Liquid's squad, we can see that there are not too many changes compared to last year. Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen, who joined the team on February 25, is still actively playing. When James "Kryptix" Affleck took a personal break on September 25, he was replaced by Belgian player Nabil "Nivera" Benrlitom.

In addition, Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom, another Belgian player and also Nivera’s brother, has become one of the best players in the team and enjoys everyone's recognition for his achievements.

The American esports organization 100 Thieves has undoubtedly managed to become one of the most successful teams in VALORANT esports in a very short time. 100 Thieves made its debut with the signing of Spencer "Hiko" Martin, a former professional and one of the best CS:GO players. This ambitious entry has naturally attracted all the hype around 100 Thieves, and the team has tried to live up to expectations as much as possible.

In 2020-2021, the team won the First Strike North America tournament against TSM, and by beating the Team Envy team 2-1 at VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers Finals, they were able to advance to the VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers. Although they lost to Team Envy at the VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin and were eliminated from the tournament, they continued to stake their claim for new tournaments as the team gradually settled down.

The team last participated in the VCT 2021: North America Last Chance Qualifier, where they lost 2-1 to Cloud9 Blue.

2021 also saw a very drastic change in the 100 Thieves squad. Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella, Joshua "steel" Nissan and Quan "dicey" Tran, whom it had signed in the early years, left the team.

Similar to 100 Thieves, Cloud9, signed a former professional CS:GO player, Canadian Tyson "TenZ" Ngo, immediately recognizing the importance of VALORANT as an esport.

Although TenZ seems to have dropped that hype by leaving the team in the early months of 2021, Cloud9 has been able to build its squad very well. Not only TenZ, but also 4 other players left with him later in 2021. Cloud9, who built his squad almost from nothing, has also made a fresh start in VALORANT.

Cloud9 got their first win in 2021 by participating in the Nerd Street Gamers: 2021 Monthly March Tournament, was able to win the tournament by defeating NRG in the Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship Tournament in the following months.

The European organization made its debut in VALORANT esports in 2021 with the remaining players from Raise Your Edge Gaming, and achieved its first success in tournaments by defeating Team Heretics 3-2 at the VCT 2021: Europe Stage 1 Masters stage.

Acend continued their success by winning the next tournament, LVP - Rising Series #2 among a few others. But the biggest success for Acend was at the VALORANT Champions 2021.

After emerging undefeated from the groups, Acend faced Team Secret in the quarter-finals and knocked their opponent out of the tournament 2-0.

Acend proved to the whole world that they are the most ambitious team in VALORANT after eliminating Gambit Esports in the finals and becoming the undoubted winner of VALORANT Champions 2021.
