After a season hiatus, the EEU region is back in action after Valve had postponed the DPC for Eastern Europe indefinitely due to the war in Ukraine.

The Dota Pro Circuit Tour 3 league matchups in multiple categories begin on Monday, June 6th, which will be a terrific day for all Dota 2 enthusiasts. Earlier clashes took place in Southeast Asia. Eastern Europe is now in the spotlight.

DPC EEU Tour 3 Division 1 matchups will begin on June 9th and will run for five and a half weeks, ending on July 15th. Eight of Eastern Europe's strongest teams will compete for a spot in the PGL Arlington Major, which serves as a warm-up for the year's biggest event, The International 11.

The DPC EEU Tour 3 will feature a prize pool of $205,000, 1,150 DPC points and three slots at the PGL Arlington Major.

DPC EEU Week 1

Six teams from the DPC EEU 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division I Playoffs finished 1-6th, while two teams from the second division of the DPC EEU Tour 2 finished in the top two.

BetBoom Team, Team Spirit, and Mind Games were the top three lines in the first division at the end of the season. The ESL One Stockholm Major was intended to be their destination. Not everyone, however, made it to Sweden.

Due to visa limitations, Mind Games were unable to arrive at the location on time, and the team was initially forfeited for failing to participate in the first match, and subsequently disqualified from the competition entirely.

Thus, the first opponent for NAVI will be CIS Rejects a squad made up of CIS country players since the restriction on Russian teams, NAVI with its experience and cohesion will likely be a challenge for them.

Where they will have a tough time is BetBoom Team, which scored a 7th place at Stockholm Major whereas NAVI couldn’t attend.

With all the rage and the hype behind them Team Spirit still has a high chance of turning things around for their way, their initial match will be an easy one. Although they performed rather poorly in ESL One Stockholm 2022 Major is an indication of their withering performance after their incredible run through The International 11 and their championship.

Overall the matchups are balanced fairly except for the ones playing against the Team Spirit. It is only the beginning of the tournament so we’ll see how the teams are performing after a short hiatus because of the DPC EEU’s postponement.
