Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

The Spanish ex CS:GO player is best known for his glory days at OpTic Gaming. Thanks to several victories in major events, his team was ranked 2nd in the global HLTV rankings. Earlier in his career, he also played at G2 Esports and Cloud9.

mixwell was not satisfied with his performance and it did not look like his old days, the days when he was at OpTic. Upon VALORANT’s release, it was the perfect time for mixwell and he signed a contract with his former team G2 Esports to embark on a new journey.

Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Another former player who followed his FPS career from CS:GO to VALORANT is the American player nitr0. You can see his name on Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Sydney, DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019, ESL Pro League Season 9 - Finals, ESL One: Cologne 2019 and Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Chicago.

He made a name for himself with his legendary performance in Team Liquid in CS:GO. He wanted a change in his life after staying with the same team for five years and thus signed with 100 Thieves for VALORANT wherein they even won First Strike North America.

Tyson "TenZ" Ngo - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

If you look up his past career in CS:GO, we are pretty sure you know TenZ, who was named one of the best VALORANT players in the world.

After a year on Cloud9, his CS:GO career was about to end and the same time VALORANT also came up. TenZ then shifted his FPS career to VALORANT and first played for Cloud9 Blue before moving to Sentinels, who are one of VALORANT's most successful teams.

Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

A 20-year-old Finnish former professional CS:GO player, Jamppi does not have good memories when he looks back. He was banned from Valve tournaments in 2015 due to a VAC ban. But still, his time at ENCE was something that can be called "memorable".

Although this issue would later be resolved, he decided to continue his professional FPS career in Riot Games' VALORANT. He is now a part of Team Liquid and it seems like he made a pretty good restart to his career.

Spencer "Hiko" Martin - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

This career change might be the first one that shocked people and created a hateful fan base for Hiko for leaving CS:GO.

CS: GO lovers know Hiko's name from his years at compLexity Gaming, Cloud9, Team Liquid and more recently Rogue.

The 30-year-old player decided to switch his FPS career to VALORANT and signed up for 100 Thieves, where he holds the title of team captain. Like his teammate nitr0, he was also part of the team that won First Strike North America.

Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt - Fortnite

Compared to other professionals, it is hard to see a career change from Fortnite, which is not a FPS game and has different game mechanics, to VALORANT. zeek can be considered a success story of this career change, which is supported by his transfer to Acend.

The 20-year-old Polish player started his VALORANT career on THOSE GUYS and his transfers to nolpenki and G2 Esports followed. He was part of Acend that won the VALORANT Champions 2021, where he was awarded the MVP of the tournament.

Mehmet Yağız "cNed" İpek - Zula

You may be surprised when you hear the name Zula for the first time. Zula is an MMOFPS game developed and published by Turkish game studios. The game gained acceptable notoriety in the country, but that was not enough for someone with such great potential and skill as cNed.

He started his VALORANT career at a Turkish streaming-based Esports organization BBL Esports and quickly became part of the Lithuanian team nolpenki and his story abroad was just beginning.

After his experience at Raise Your Edge Gaming, he became part of Acend and is now a big star for the team and VALORANT lovers. He also won the VALORANT Champions 2021 with his teammate zeek.

Jared "zombs" Gitlin - Apex/Overwatch

The American VALORANT pro player zombs has a different meaning for our list, as he used to play for both Apex Legends and Overwatch.

He started his professional FPS career in 2016 with Overwatch and has played for WEUNITED, FaZe Clan, Simplicity, and most recently Skyfoxes in 2019.

March 26, 2019 marked his first career change for Overwatch, as part of the Sentinels. His career only continued for a month, but he was able to achieve 3 placements in the first round of tournaments with his team.

His second and perhaps last career change took place on April 28, 2020 to VALORANT, while he remained in his team Sentinels.

Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Skadoodle is known as one of the first American CS:GO players to win a Major trophy in his career. His short but great career culminated when his team Cloud9 won the ESL Pro League title and became the first North American Major champion by winning the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018.

After a brief period of retirement from CS:GO, he continued his career as a full-time streamer. When the opportunity to sign with T1 on VALORANT presented itself, he jumped at it.
