Last week, we compiled a list of the best performing North American CS:GO teams in 2022. This week, the region we will focus on will be the CIS.

CIS teams have made a name for themselves not only in CS: GO but also in all games of the Counter-Strike series. Let's see what the CIS teams did in 2022 and which CIS teams performed the best.

5. forZe

ForZe is a well-established team in Counter-Strike history. 2022 was not one of its best years. They haven't had a bad year though.

They started 2022 by reaching the semifinals of Malta Vibes Knockout Series #5. After three PGL Major Antwerp open qualifiers, they were promoted to European RMR A, where they qualified for the Major with a fifth place. At PGL Major Antwerp 2022, forZe didn't make much of a presence. They bid farewell to the Major in the 17th-19th place.

Winning Pinnacle Winter Series #2 in February was forZe's biggest success so far this year. ForZe did not take part in ESL Challenger at DreamHack Valencia 2022 and ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022 as they failed to do well in the European qualifiers.

They finished second in ESEA Season 41: Advanced Division - Europe. With this performance, they qualified to participate in ESL Challenger League Season 41 Relegation: Europe. In this tournament, they placed in the first two places and qualified to take part in ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe. Apart from that, forZe participated in many tournaments but did not find much success.

4. Outsiders

Our fourth place is Outsiders. As you know, Virtus.pro allowed its roster to play under the name Outsiders in order to participate in tournaments.

Outsiders' first tournament was ESL Pro League Season 15, but they were eliminated early, performing far below expectations.

They qualified for the Major from Contender Status by placing eighth at PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR A. However, they could not perform well in PGL Major Antwerp 2022 as well and were eliminated from the tournament early.

They finished ESL Pro League Conference Season 16 in the top four places, thus qualifying for ESL Pro League Season 16.

They also performed quite poorly in the Roobet Cup. ESL Challenger at DreamHack Valencia 2022 runner-up was Outsiders' biggest success this year.

They participated in IEM Cologne 2022 but failed again. They were eliminated from the tournament in the 13th-16th place. Will they be able to reach their previous performances?

3. Team Spirit

The year 2022 was not one of the best years for Team Spirit either. They actually started the year pretty well. In the grand final of Malta Vibes Knockout Series #6, they became champions by eliminating 1shot.

Then they were not successful in PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR's first open qualifier, but they qualified to participate in PGL Major Antwerp 2022 with their success in the second open qualifier. They made it to the semifinals in the Major, but were defeated by FaZe Clan. This has been Team Spirit's biggest success in 2022.

Although they participated in many different tournaments, they could not achieve great success. Finally, they finished IEM Cologne 2022 in the 9th-12th place.

2. Cloud9

The second place is Cloud9, which made its return to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive esports with the acquisition of Gambit Esports' lineup on April 24.

After this acquisition, the first tournament Cloud9 participated in was PGL Major Antwerp 2022. They were eliminated early on without making much of a presence.

Then they gave a great performance at IEM Dallas 2022 and defeated ENCE 3-0 in the grand final to become the champions. This is Cloud9's biggest success since the acquisition.

In the Roobet Cup, they reached the semifinals. Most recently, they participated in IEM Cologne 2022. They performed below expectations and finished in 9th-12th place.

1. Natus Vincere

Here we are, at the top of our list. As you can guess, Natus Vincere is at the top of our list. NAVI is seen as one of the best CS: GO teams of recent times, and has not given up on the competition, although it has fallen a little behind FaZe Clan recently.

They finished 4th-6th in BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022 at the start of 2022. They then advanced to the semifinals at IEM Katowice 2022.

In ESL Pro League Season 15, their rivals, FaZe Clan, started to have some dominance against them for the first time. Losing 2-0 to FaZe Clan, NAVI was eliminated from the tournament in the quarterfinals.

They qualified for the Major with fourth place at PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR A. Even though they reached the grand final in PGL Major Antwerp 2022, history repeated itself. FaZe Clan defeated NAVI 2-0 to become the champion.

In the final of BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022, NAVI defeated Team Vitality and became the champion.

The last tournament they participated in was IEM Cologne 2022. We watched an absolutely amazing grand final. FaZe Clan started the grand final ahead and NAVI made the score 2-1 with a comeback. However, this was not the last comeback in the grand final. FaZe Clan made another comeback, defeating NAVI once again.
