Zest wins 2022 AfreecaTV GSL Super Tournament 1

The 2022 AfreecaTV GSL Super Tournament 1 has ended. Joo "Zest" Sung-wook became the champion after an incredible grand final.

Zest's tremendous performance against many strong opponents was admirable. He won $10,000 with this title.

Zest eliminated strong opponents and reached the grand final

Facing Classic for the first time, Zest won 3-2 and advanced to the quarterfinals. Zest, who did not have a very comfortable encounter in the quarterfinals, managed to eliminate Bunny 3-2. His opponent in the semifinals was Maru. Eliminating Maru was one of the important hurdles on his way to the championship with a 3:1 victory.

Dark's bright path to the final

Dark made it to the final with a much better performance than Zest. He eliminated both GuMiho and ByuN comfortably with a score of 3-0. Also in the semifinals, he won 3-1 against Zoun.
