Redeye: EPICENTER Major teams facing TI9 crunch

The EPICENTER Major is under way in Moscow and there's a lot on the line - not least the chance to qualify for TI9.

The EPICENTER Major is the final DPC event of the season, with four spots remaining at The International 2019 - otherwise it's the dreaded TI9 qualifiers.

Team Secret, Virtus Pro, Evil Geniuses, Vici Gaming, PSG.LDG, Fnatic, Team Liquid and Ninjas In Pyjamas have already qualified and some big names are sweating on their season.


Teams that fail to qualify for TI9 through the DPC will contest six remaining places via TI9 qualifiers, starting in July.

TI9 qualifiers dates

The dates for the open qualifiers and closed qualifers were confirmed on Monday, June 17th, 2019:

Open Qualifiers: July 3 to 7
Regional Qualifiers: July 8 to 15
Group Stage: August 15 to 18
Main event: August 20 to 25
