The second day of ESL Pro League Season 16 Group A has come to an end. Things are not going well for Endpoint and Ninjas in Pyjamas while NAVI and Vitality share the lead.
Today we will take a look at the results of the first two days and the matches to be played in the remaining days.
What happened in the first two days of Group A?
August 31
- NAVI 2 - 0 Team Spirit
- Team Vitality 2 - 0 Endpoint
- Ninjas in Pyjamas 0 - 2 Fnatic
September 1
- Team Spirit 2 - 1 Endpoint
- NAVI 2 - 1 Fnatic
- Ninjas in Pyjamas 0 - 2 Team Vitality
The only surprise of the first day was the match between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Fnatic. We were almost certain that Ninjas in Pyjamas would win, but they lost against Fnatic without even winning a map.
On the second day, the matches were very exciting. In particular, the second and third maps between Team Spirit vs Endpoint went into overtime and were quite competitive. Considering Team Spirit won the first map 16-3, no one expected Endpoint to perform so well in the remaining maps. However, this performance was not enough for them to win the best-of-three series.
Fnatic started out amazingly on day two as well. They won the first map against NAVI, but defeating NAVI is not easy. As we predicted, NAVI was the winner of the Bo3 series with a comeback. They did not have much difficulty in the last two maps against Fnatic.

I guess we all know the favourite between NAVI vs Endpoint. NAVI will have no trouble against Endpoint.
In our opinion, the most competitive match of the day will be between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Spirit. I think Ninjas in Pyjamas would win 2-1.
While Team Vitality is our favourite against Fnatic, Fnatic hasn't performed badly so far. Maybe we can get a surprise. My guess is Team Vitality will win with a score of 2-1.
September 3
- Ninjas in Pyjamas - Endpoint (12:30 CEST)
- Fnatic - Team Spirit (16:00 CEST)
- NAVI - Team Vitality (19:30 CEST)
Both Ninjas in Pyjamas and Endpoint have been performing poorly so far. Ninjas in Pyjamas will definitely want to wake up and the Endpoint match is a very important opportunity for them. If they don't win, things will be very difficult for them.
Fnatic, on the other hand, is considered by some to be the favourite against Team Spirit as they have performed above expectations so far. I still think Team Spirit will win.
The most prestigious match of the day will be between NAVI and Team Vitality. NAVI will want to move on to finishing the group undefeated. I think it's quite possible for them to beat Vitality as well.

Actually, it seems easy to predict the winner of all matches on the last day of Group A. So at first glance, I would say that NAVI, Team Vitality and Fnatic will be the victorious teams, but it will be the last day, so things will get messy.
