VCT 2022 Last Chance Qualifiers are kicking off one by one in various regions, including South America. According to the Circuit Points tables of Brazil and LATAM, each region sends four representatives to clash and decide which teams represent South America at Champions Istanbul.

VALORANT Champions Tour will end at Champions Istanbul, and just as they did during the Masters tournaments, Brazil and LATAM will have to share the additional two spots. It doesn’t have to be one Brazilian and one Latin American team - the teams that finish in top two will get a ticket to Istanbul.
VCT 2022 SA LCQ teams
South America is the only region which will send two teams after the Last Chance Qualifier. From Brazil, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Keyd Stars, FURIA Esports and TBK Esports will participate in this action. From Latin America, KRÜ Esports, FUSION, E-Xolos LAZER and 9z Team will try to get the ticket to Istanbul.
Brazil seems to be one step ahead of LATAM in terms of international success, considering LOUD’s grand final at Masters Reykjavík performance. However, both regions had a disappointment at Masters Copenhagen where Leviatán and KRÜ Esports failed to perform for LATAM and LOUD exited the tournament early. LOUD and Leviatán will represent the region at Champions Istanbul, and the winners of LCQ will join them.
Considering that they were the teams that found the chances to represent their regions internationally, KRÜ Esports from LATAM and Ninjas in Pyjamas from Brazil are the natural favourites at SA LCQ. However, the rest of the participants also had top 4-5 finishes regularly in their respective regions, meaning that this could be the place where they finally make it to an international tournament.
In any case, expectations will be big from Brazil. They are already known as an FPS country, with many achievements in CS:GO and Rainbow Six Siege. However, their best performance in VALORANT came very late with LOUD. Any Brazilian team should aim to pull something better in Istanbul to keep the hype alive in their home country.
In LATAM’s case, KRÜ Esports is known as the pioneer of VALORANT in the region, and their international and regional performances were disappointing in VCT 2022. Thus, Latin American teams won’t feel any pressure, and that could give them an advantage over KRÜ Esports. KRÜ wants to repeat their Champions 2021 top four finish and they must secure the ticket to Istanbul.
After the first matches, the tournament will follow a double elimination bracket. The upper bracket winner and lower bracket winner will move on to Champions Istanbul.
