The $425,000 CS:GO S-Tier tournament in Portugal started today and the opening group matches are now over. There’s only elimination and winner’s matches left that will determine who will get the better seed in the playoffs and who will be eliminated from the tournament.
From June 15 to 19, the BLAST Premier Spring Final will be contested in the Altice Arena in Lisbon. The tournament will feature eight teams, including the biggest names of CS:GO as of this day, such as FaZe, ENCE, and Natus Vincere, who had all qualified through BLAST Spring tournaments.
The teams will be divided into two groups of four, each of which will compete in a shorter GSL format. The top-seeded teams in each group will advance through to the semi-finals, while the second and third-seeded teams will compete in the quarter-finals.
Now let’s take a look at what happened in the opening matches and if our predictions from yesterday held true.

Updated! BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022 Predictions
FaZe, OG, and Vitality, as well as Natus Vincere, BIG, and G2, are among the teams competing in the BLAST Spring Groups:
ENCE, the victors of the BLAST Spring Showdown EU, have proven their prowess in recent events, advancing to second place in the world rankings and almost winning the IEM Dallas, we predicted that they would stand tall against BIG and stand tall they did, sweeping their opponents 2-0, BIG even with its full roster including Karim "Krimbo” Moussa, gave ENCE a little bit of sweat, but at the end they did not stand a chance against their opponents.
ENCE will now face the winner OG, the fresh look European mix squad that had just defeated NAVI 2-1.
We predict that ENCE will win this match, albeit not very easily with a result of 2-1. But if there’s only one team in the tournament that can stop ENCE besides FaZe it’s the OG, so expect surprises.
paiN, who have proven their value in their own right in recent tournaments and were just crowned BLAST Spring Showdown NA champions, will unfortunately have little chance against the Team Vitality.
Even though Vitality seems to be lacking in performance in the recent tournaments and fell out of favour, as a team they have higher skill and rank overall. They will dominate paiN nonetheless, only to be eliminated in the quarter finals later.
Following in the footsteps of former in-game commander Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov, Natus Vincere is now led by Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev. Mikhailov is no longer a member of the Russian-Ukrainian team because of controversial events outside the esports scene. NAVI, already hindered by low morale, recent losses and even their best player s1mple wanting some time off for himself according to recent interviews. They lost against the fresh look European mix squad that is OG.
They are still the better squad when compared to BIG. BIG is also playing big in its recent matches and even gave ENCE a hard time in their last match. This one will likely go to the NAVI, but it is not a certain outcome.
FaZe and G2 will face off today, FaZe has better form ranking, and currently the #1 team in the world.
G2, even with all the tricks up their sleeves, will not fare much against FaZe. They may have a slight chance of pushing the Finn karrigan Andersen’s legendary FaZe squad to a 2-1, but in the end they will almost certainly lose.
We predict that in the end of this tournament either ENCE or FaZe will come out as the winner, but, and this is a big BUT, the fresh look OG may very well surprise and take the CS:GO esports scene by storm.
