TSM has reached a verbal agreement with Ruby

Lee "Ruby" Sol-min is reportedly set to leave the LEC, after reaching a verbal agreement to join TSM's LCS team.

Lee "Ruby" Sol-min to join TSM

That's according to a report from Blix.gg, whose sources claim that the Korean midlaner has reached a verbal agreement to join TSM.

Ruby is currently with Team Heretics, but has been on their bench for the past month, after a difficult season for the team. Team Heretics' recent performance at the Spring Split left much to be desired, with the team failing to make it through to the Group Stage, ending the Split in 9th place.

That poor performance has been seen throughout the year too, with Team Heretics similarly struggling in the Winter Split, which they finished in 8th place following a defeat at the hands of SK Gaming. Following these dismal results, Ruby found himself taken off Team Heretics' active roster, after just four months with the team.

That's not to say things are looking much better for TSM either, however. The LCS team has similarly struggled so far this year, having finished the Spring Split in a disappointing 7th place. That record unfortunately holds true for TSM's 2022 run too, where they saw remarkably little success.

TSM's recent struggles go beyond even that, however. The organisation has made headlines in recent months with a series of mass layoffs, alongside rumours that they are looking to withdraw from a number of esports titles. And while their LCS team is seemingly safe for now, the organisation's general manager had to recently deny rumours that the team had been issued with a minimum salary ultimatum.

So should these reports prove to be true, Ruby could well find himself moving from one troubled team to another. It will also mark the fourth region the player has competed in, with Ruby having previously played in both the PCS and LPL.

Should he join the team, Ruby's TSM debut will come on June 1 with the LCS Summer Split - and you'll be able to see him in action via our upcoming League of Legends match schedule.
