The Lima Major is just days away, and organisers Epulze and 4D have announced the tournament's Group Stage, due to begin on February 22.
Lima Major 2023 teams, groups and schedule
The Group Stage for the first-ever Dota 2 South American Major was announced during a live draw, with Epulze and 4D live streaming the separation of the Major's 18 teams into two separate groups.
The Group Stage of the Lima Major 2023 will run from February 22 to February 26 and will separate the participants into two groups of nine teams each. The single-round robin matches will be decided under the best-of-two format, with the Group Stage looking to eliminate a total of six teams from the tournament - three from each group.

The top four teams from each group at the end of the Group Stage will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, while the teams in fourth and sixth place will move on to the playoff's lower bracket.
While other teams were traveling to Lima, local heroes beastcoast were able to react to the live drawing in a YouTube video seen below.
Group A teams
Group A is looking pretty decently balanced, though there's plenty to be excited about here. This group is home to some of the strongest teams in the DPC, with the likes of PSG.LGD and Team Spirit no doubt getting ready to delight fans in this week's Group Stage.

Group B teams
Things are looking a little less balanced in Group B, though there's hardly a single predictable winner here. Still, we can likely expect fantastic performances from the likes of Team Liquid, Shopify Rebellion and BetBoom Team.
