The International 11 group stage predictions

The International 11 starts tomorrow. The 20 teams are divided into two groups and the competition will reach the top point. You should definitely not miss this tournament that drove Dota 2 fans crazy.

Today we will make predictions for both groups together with you. So let's start.

The International 11 Group A predictions

  • BetBoom Team
  • BOOM Esports
  • Evil Geniuses
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • Hokori
  • OG
  • PSG.LGD
  • Royal Never Give Up
  • Soniqs
  • Team Liquid

In my opinion, the strongest team in Group A is PSG.LGD, which I expected to be the champion in last year's The International, but could not achieve this result. They are still an incredibly strong team and I think they continue this claim in The International 11 as well.

My biggest favourite for second place is OG. They hold the title of being the only The International champion for 2 years in a row. Besides, there is no other team that has won the championship twice. OG wanted to increase this record to three last year, but failed. Although they are ambitious on the way to the championship this year, they have very strong opponents.

In my opinion, the biggest candidate for third place is Team Liquid. They seem to be one of the strongest teams in The International 11, but they entered the tournament with the Last Chance Qualifier. If they want to achieve the success their fans expect, they need to perform much better.

In Group A, BOOM Esports is the last team I predict will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs. The Southeast Asian team is definitely one of the strongest teams in The International 11.

The biggest contender for fifth place seems to be Royal Never Give Up. I don't think they can get ahead of BOOM Esports or other teams.

I think BetBoom Team will take the sixth place. Their biggest rivals are Evil Geniuses and Gaimin Gladiators. For me, they will be the three teams placed in the sixth, seventh and eight places respectively. All three of them have the power to surpass each other.

Hokori and Soniqs are the two weakest teams of the group. I think Hokori will be ninth and Soniqs will be last. My guess is that the winner of the match between these two teams will get the ninth place.

The International 11 Group B predictions

  • beastcoast
  • Entity
  • Fnatic
  • Talon Esports
  • Team Aster
  • Team Secret
  • Team Spirit
  • Thunder Awaken
  • TSM
  • Tundra Esports

In my opinion, Group B's favourite is Team Spirit, the surprise team from last year. Last year, when no one thought they would be champions, they reached Aegis with an amazing performance. This year, everyone knows their potential.

The biggest contender for second place seems to be Team Aster. The Chinese team seems to be the strongest team in China after PSG.LGD.

My predictions for third and fourth place are Team Secret and Entity, respectively. Normally I would say Team Secret is a much better team but Entity has definitely been performing brilliantly lately and with a little better performance they could even make it into the top three.

I think Tundra Esports will move up from the lower bracket to the playoffs in fifth. I used to predict that Tundra Esports would be fourth but Entity is progressing very well. Still, Tundra Esports could rise to the top four.

Beastcoast may finish in sixth place. They are one of the mid-level teams of the group.

TSM FTX is my favourite for seventh place. So I think they will at least make it to the playoffs. They are definitely not one of the two weakest teams of the group.

I think Fnatic will be the last team to advance from Group B to the playoffs. Both Thunder Awaken and Talon Esports can get ahead of them, but Fnatic is the favourite in this regard with a narrow margin.

There is only one day left until the start of The International 11, which is seen as one of the biggest tournaments in the esports world. You can watch this amazing tournament on Luckbox and be informed about the latest news with us.
