The Last Chance Qualifier has started, where the last two teams to participate in The International 11 will be determined. Only two teams will leave the 12-team competition happy.

Today we will focus on Team Liquid, one of the six teams in Group B. So let's start.

No changes to Team Liquid's roster
Team Liquid's roster has been the same for a long time. MATUMBAMAN and zai were the last players to join the main roster, which was a year ago.
Along with their current roster, they finished first in DPC WEU Tour 1: Division I and finished second in the Regional Final. In Tour 2 Division I, they were content with third place.
First place in Gamers Without Borders 2022: Europe & CIS paved the way for Riyadh Masters 2022 for them. However, they did not have much success in the Riyadh Masters 2022. They said goodbye to the tournament as 9th-10th.
They also underperformed at ESL One Stockholm 2022, and finished second in the final DPC WEU tour, below Tundra Esports.
PGL Arlington Major 2022 and ESL One Malaysia 2022 were other tournaments where they didn't get what they wanted.
Even though they did not qualify directly for The International 11 with the third place in The International 2022: Western Europe Qualifier, they qualified for the Last Chance Qualifier.

Last Chance Qualifier will be tough for Liquid
Team Liquid's group includes many strong teams. I think Virtus.pro and Xtreme Gaming in particular are serious threats to Team Liquid. Frankly, both teams have been performing better than Team Liquid lately.
I think Team Liquid will be third in the group stage. Their biggest rivals, which I think will stay behind them, are the T1. Although, considering that the top four finishers will be promoted to the upper bracket of the playoffs, it doesn't make much difference between third and fourth places.
Infamous and Wildcard Gaming, on the other hand, seem to be the weaker members of the group. Team Liquid must win against these two opponents.

I don't think Team Liquid has much of a chance in the playoff stage. Considering that they haven't been performing well lately and there are strong opponents in the tournament, I think they can't go beyond the upper bracket semifinals. It would be a surprise to me if they made it to the upper bracket final.
Success for Team Liquid at the Last Chance Qualifier looks like a quite tough road. Let's see if they can reach it.
