The end of LCK 2022 Spring is coming closer, and T1 stays invincible. Keeping their undefeated streak going, they will face Gen.G for the second time this season, and both teams are at the top of their game. Additionally, their closest opponents DK and DRX are so far behind now that this match could decide the first place of the regular season.
The close playoffs race keeps going in LCK, with 8 of the teams still having a chance of making it. T1 and Gen.G have distinguished themselves, but other than DWG KIA and DRX which are 7-5, four teams are 4-8, one team is 5-7 and one is 3-9, meaning that the last three weeks of the season will decide which teams advance or not.
LCK 2022 Spring Week 6 recap
The sixth week of the LCK started with two great series. KT Rolster faced Kwangdong Freecs and lost, KDF played one of their best matches this season, and while they were at the bottom of LCK once, they are at a better spot now. Following that, T1 managed to destroy DWG KIA in the first game of the series and won the second game in 47 minutes with a score of 12-12, a very close one which ended with a backdoor play.
DRX defeated Fredit BRION 2-1 the following day, and Liiv SANDBOX destroyed Hanwha Life 2-0. On Friday, Gen.G faced a very weak challenge from the Nongshim RedForce. Utilizing Doran and Peanut greatly in both games, Gen.G quickly ended the series 2-0, starting their week well. It took DWG KIA two games to destroy Kwangdong Freecs, both ended in 35 minutes and ShowMaker led his team to victory in those.
When the weekend came, Fredit BRION shocked KT Rolster with a quick 2-0, both games had a wide gap between the teams and BRO definitely were the better team. T1 also stomped Hanwha Life Esports, with the first game ending in 31 minutes and second in 27. Faker had a great series, with a 7-2 LeBlanc and 5-0-6 Ahri performance.
On the last series of the day, T1 fans and players had their eyes on Gen.G vs DRX as DRX are one of the teams that could pull the upset against a strong team. However, Gen.G left no room for surprises as they quickly stomped both games against DRX. Chovy had a score of 5-1-7 both games playing Ahri. The last series of the day was Liiv SANDBOX vs Nongshim RedForce, with a pentakill from Ghost, NS secured it 2-1.

As you can guess easily, the most important match this week is Gen.G vs T1 on Thursday. Even if T1 loses this one, they will still have one more win which would help them stay on top of the league. However, it would be a huge morale boost for GEN, and T1 could become confused and might lose more games following the series. It will be a big challenge for both teams, and especially for Faker who is responsible for helping the young players around him.
Following that, KT Rolster will be fighting DRX. KT’s form has been declining, however, they still have a chance against DRX. Naturally the favourite here is DRX, but KT could pull the upset. Kwangdong Freecs will play against Gen.G to hopefully pull an upset and secure a playoff spot, although they have a very low chance of doing that. The week will end with the Telecom Wars between T1 and KT Rolster, so T1 has two big matches to play this week. If they manage a 2-0, they will surely come into the playoffs with a lot of confidence.
