SanSheng and awen brought in as Newbee shuffle Dota 2 roster

Chinese Dota 2 org Newbee have again shuffled their roster as they look to find a winning formula, bringing in SanSheng and awen to the five-man line-up.

SanSheng (Zhaohui Wang) will play the position 5 support role, with the TI4 winner and former coach of the team making a return to top-tier action at the age of 30.

Aawen (Lipeng Wen) will play offlane, having transferred from the Newbee-owned Mr Game Boy squad.

Newbee's new-look Dota 2 roster

  • Carry: Moggy (Han Xu)
  • Mid: Sccc (Chun Song)
  • Offlane: awen (Lipeng Wen)
  • Supports: Waixi (Chao Yan), SanSheng (Zhaohui Wang)
  • Coach: Banana (Jiao Wang)

The changes come after an unsettled and unsuccessful spell for Newbee, whose last significant victory came in January 2018, with victory at ESL One Genting.

The next main priority for Newbee is to qualify for the MDL Disneyland Paris Major in May.

In a brief statement posted on Facebook, Newbee said: "At this moment, the team is working hard to prepare for the Major and Minor qualifiers. Best of luck to our boys."
