RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split NA starts today

The Rocket League Championship Series' Winter Split begins in all regions. In today's article, we will focus on the North American region.

RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split North America Regional Event 1 format

Each Split of the Rocket League Championship Series this season has a different format. So the format of Winter Split is valid for all regions, not just for NA.

The 16 teams are divided equally into four groups consisting of a Bo5 round robin format. The winner of the groups will advance to the Winners' Bracket of the playoffs. Second and third places will continue from Losers' Bracket. The last ones of the groups will bid farewell to the tournament.

The format in the playoffs is double elimination bracket. Upper bracket matches will be Bo7. Rounds 1 and 2 of the lower bracket will be Bo5, quarterfinals and beyond will be Bo7. Grand finals are Bo7 with a bracket reset, the team from the lower finals will need to win two Bo7 series.

RLCS 2021-22 Winter Split North America Regional Event 1 groups and schedule

All group matches will be played on January 14. Tiebreaker matches will be played in required groups at 21:15 CET.

Group A

  • The General NRG
  • RBG Esports
  • Vibrance
  • XSET

In group A, The General NRG seems to be the favorite team. One of the teams that can give them a hard time is XSET. The weakest link of the group seems to be RBG Esports, at least for now.

The favourite team in group B is G2 Esports. Considering their recent performance, Ghost Gaming is also a team that should not be underestimated.

Probably the most exciting group of the tournament is group C. It seems that Rogue will be included in the magnificent competition of Spacestation Gaming and FaZe Clan. Do you think Torrent can make a surprise?

  • Team Envy

Group D will also be quite competitive. While Team Envy and Complexity Gaming will fight fiercely for the playoffs, it looks like Oxygen Esports and Susquehanna Soniqs won't give up easily.

With the end of the group stage, the playoffs will begin on January 15. The grand final is on January 17. If you are a Rocket League lover, you should not miss it.
