Puppey seeks his second The International title

At The International 11, only four teams remain as the grand final approaches. One of them is Team Secret. Puppey has been on Team Secret's roster since 2014. He is one of the most experienced, talented players in both Team Secret and Dota 2 esports.

Today we are going to take a look at Team Secret's chances at The International 11, and what Puppey can and did contribute to Team Secret.

Puppey has appeared in all The Internationals so far

Puppey has appeared in all The Internationals so far. This sets him apart from all the other professional Dota 2 players. He participated in his first The International with NAVI in 2011 and reached the championship. Since then, he has not achieved this success again. Afterwards, he managed to perform above a certain level in all The Internationals he participated in. He made it to at least the quarterfinals in both NAVI and Team Secret, except The International 2017.

It is now in the top four. So, exactly eleven years after 2011, will he be able to reach the championship once again? It doesn't seem impossible. He is very close to this goal. Their biggest rivals seem to be Tundra Esports.

Puppey was one of Team Secret's top players in LCQ

As you know, Team Secret was not among the teams participating in The International 11 as a result of the Dota Pro Circuit. They had to participate in the Last Chance Qualifier as they could not show sufficient success in the qualifying.

While Team Secret shined in the Last Chance Qualifier, one of its greatest architects was Puppey. With their win in the upper bracket final against Virtus.pro, they qualified to participate in The International 11. Now they are running for the championship with a performance far above expectations.

Team Secret's performance improved after DPC

After Team Secret finished fifth in all three DPC tours this season, we thought we wouldn't be seeing Puppey at The International 11 this year. However, with Riyadh Masters 2022 just after the DPC, they signaled an improvement in their performance.

They also finished ESL One Malaysia 2022 in third place. Although they did not reach first place in the Western Europe Qualifier, they came this far thanks to the Last Chance Qualifier.

Puppey could reach second The International title

Team Secret will face Tundra Esports on October 29 to advance to the grand final. I can say that both teams are very close to each other. It is very difficult to predict who will win.

The other two teams making their way in The International 11 are Team Aster and Team Liquid. I don't think these two teams can stand up to Team Secret. In short, if you ask me, Puppey have a 50% chance of reaching his second The International title.
