Pinnacle Cup’s opening matches and schedule has been announced. This year’s Pinnacle Cup Championship will be the first of its kind that will be held on a LAN format.
The Pinnacle Cup Championship is Pinnacle's first in-person LAN tournament, and it marks the end of months of competition between some of the best CS:GO teams in the globe. In Lund, Sweden, eight teams from across the world will compete for a portion of the $250,000 prize pool and the title of Pinnacle Cup Championship victors!
As an A-tier tournament, the invited teams will be big guns of CS:GO esports and the winner of the Pinnacle Cup IV, not the top dogs.
Unfortunately, the new rising stars of CS:GO, CPHF will no longer be among the participants as a result of their withdrawal. The Copenhagen Flames have been dropped from the Pinnacle Cup Championship roster, following their withdrawal from IEM Dallas amid speculations that the team's players were being courted by rival organisations.
We hope the rumours aren’t true and would like to see a new team shine in the CS:GO esports scene.
Before further ado let’s delve into the format details, and schedule & betting odds for the opening matches.

Pinnacle Cup Overview & Predictions
The tournament will begin with the opening matches in Group A, with Heroic taking on the new-look fnatic, who just recruited Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi and Fredrik "roeJ" Jorgensen from Copenhagen Flames but have yet to announce the last piece of their squad. Heroic has the cohesion and their natural talent in their bag, whilst Fnatic is bringing out the super players from CPHF. It will be a highlight match that could go either way for sure.
The tournament's second match will pit BIG against MIBR. The German squad almost made it to the finals of IEM Dallas and have all the necessary equipment to bring down the Brazillians.
Astralis will face Evil Geniuses in Group B. The North American organisation just confirmed the signing of Carpe Diem and Party Astronauts teams, but the roster for the event is yet unknown. Astralis has fallen far from once where it was, and now remains in name only with the original squad gone. The NA team might finally make it if they capitulate on the recent failures of Astralis and its demoralised team.
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo will be leading Imperial to face Finest, who was brought in as a last-minute substitute for the now-defunct Copenhagen Flames. Finest will be facing a tough challenge against the battle proven Imperial coming straight out of Dallas, lest not to forget that they were champions of Pinnacle Cup IV a year ago.
