PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Legends Stage Schedule & Betting Odds

The PGL Antwerp Major 2022 takes place from May 9th to May 22nd. Esports fans will see two weeks of top-tier CS:GO action as 24 teams from across the world battle for a total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD, a 50% decrease from last year's PGL Stockholm Major 2021.

The Challengers Stage of the PGL Antwerp Major has concluded and 8 teams fought their way into the Legends Stage. Winners of Legend Stage will move on to the Champions Stage (Playoffs) which will be played in front of about 50,000 spectators at the Antwerps Sportpaleis.

G2 Esports and Team Vitality went undefeated and faced the minimum number of opponents needed to advance. ENCE, Outsiders (Virtus.pro roster), and Team Spirit finished the Challengers Stage 3-1, and Bad News Eagles, Imperial Esports, and Team Liquid needed wins on the final day to book their ticket to the Legends Stage.

The Legends Stage begins Saturday, May 14th at 12:00 CEST. Watch the action live on Twitch or steam.tv as the final 16 teams compete for 8 spots in the Playoffs.

Opening matches of PGL Major Antwerp Legends Stage

Imperial Esports defeated forZe to become the final team to qualify to the PGL Major Antwerp Legends stage. With two 16-5 scorelines, the contest was very one-sided. Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo turned back the years with a classic carry effort, but his teammates were also on fire.

There are already some high stake games in the opening round of the Legends Stage.

The starting matches of the second stage of the PGL Major in Antwerp have been set, with Liquid, Bad News Eagles, and Imperial gaining wins in the last round and finishing up the Legends Stage team list.

The 16 teams in attendance were seeded according to their finishes in the RMR (for teams who qualified as Legends) and the Challengers Stage, and there are already numerous highly anticipated games in round one, which will take place on Saturday after a day’s break.

The rematch of the ESL Pro League Season 15 grand final between FaZe and ENCE is definitely the highlight of the day, but it is far from the only matchup involving current top-10 teams on the first day of the Legends Stage.

Cloud9 vs. Outsiders and Natus Vincere vs. G2 are two additional examples of a closely ‘possible’ contested first-round massacre.

Via HLTV, Liquid bounced back from 0-2 and eliminated Astralis from the PGL Major once and for all.‌‌

The first match of the day, Heroic vs. Team Liquid could be intriguing as well, since the two teams have a history of thrilling battles. Liquid also managed to remove Astralis from the tournament once and for all, ending their major streak, in what may be known as the greatest ever upset for the once-legendary Astralis.

Unless there are any shocks, most of the matches on Stream B should be very one-sided. Given how much the Copenhagen Flames like to level up for majors, the Copenhagen Flames vs. Bad News Eagles matchup should be one to watch.
