Overwatch League introduces League Picks for Stage 4

Blizzard have introduced an interactive betting platform for Overwatch League, starting Thursday July 25th to coincide with the first day of Stage 4 matches. Players will be able to make their picks from a range of contests an hour before each map begins.

No purchase is necessary to take part, and correct picks will rank you up in tiers for 25 league tokens each, worth around €1.25. These tokens, however, can only be used to purchase OWL-themed skins.

The OWL Battlepass?

Making picks has spiced up the action of other esports for many years. Valve's predictions for Dota 2's The International has been a fan favourite and an exciting feature for their landmark event.

With so much at stake in these stage games, the extra interest of making your picks adds another dimension to the viewer experience.

100 League Tokens buys you a skin from your favourite OWL team - both the home and away strip. Tokens can be earned by watching OWL matches live. Currently, you earn 3 tokens for every hour of live Overwatch League matches watched. If grinding out tokens isn't your thing, you can also purchase them directly from the Blizzard shop.

650 League Tokens up for grabs

With 100 matches, each with 5 contests the maximum theoretical score in League Picks is 500, earning you a total of 650 tokens for completing all 26 tiers. However making any pick at all will earn you 25 tokens, and just 1 correct pick will net you another 25 on top of that so it's well worth playing along.

League Picks players must have an account in good standing with Blizzard Entertainment and be 13 years of age or older (offered to legal residents of Argentina, Canada (excluding Quebec), Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, New Zealand, Norway, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States.)
