The season's first Dota 2 Major concluded in Stockholm, Sweden. OG won the event with a 3:1 victory over TSM FTX, earning $200,000 as well as 680 Dota Pro Circuit points. Both teams also qualified for the year's final competition, The International 2022.
The last game day began with the lower bracket final, which pitted OG against Tunda Esports. Ceb's squad won the series 2:0. The Grand Final became the most popular match of the tournament with half a million concurrent viewers at peak.

OG triumphs versus TSM

The ESL One Stockholm Major 2022, held from May 16 to May 22, saw OG win their fifth Dota 2 Major by beating TSM in the grand finals.
But some highlights first:
- OG won the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 by defeating TSM 3-1 in the grand final.
- OG has won their fifth Dota 2 Major, tying them with Team Secret and Virtus.pro, all of whom have won five Majors.
- The European team earns $200,000 USD and 680 DPC points as the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 winners.
Return to the LAN scene after two years of hiatus was worth the hype and spectacular thus far.
OG won the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 after an impressive run through the lower bracket, defeating TSM 3-1 in the grand final. TSM got off to a strong start in the grand final, winning the first game, but OG won with a three-game textbook play, displaying impressive drafting and execution.
With Sébastien "Ceb" Debs filling in and Tommy "Taiga" Le as a veteran, this new team, comprising of three new blood Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev, Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov, and Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf, has upheld the organisation's glory in this roster's first-ever Dota 2 Major debut.
OG Wins its fifth major
OG was anticipated to do well in this Major after a strong performance in Tour 2 of the Western Europe (WEU) league, but it managed to outperform expectations and win the event despite playing with a substitute.
This is even more impressive given how they did it - by making a spectacular run through the lower bracket. After losing 2-0 to TSM in the upper bracket, OG had to battle against BOOM Esports, Fnatic, Thunder Awaken, Gaimin Gladiators, Tundra Esports, and ultimately beat TSM in the grand final.
OG has basically ran the gauntlet and emerged successfully.
OG has now won their fifth Dota 2 Major, linking them with Team Secret and Virtus.pro, all of whom have won five Majors. After making it to the Grand Final, OG has never lost a major. It seems like the whole team is fueled by adrenaline!

TSM also upped their game in this Major, carrying the aspirations of the entire North American region for the most of the tournament after Evil Geniuses were ousted in the group stage.
The squad receives $100,000 USD and 610 DPC points for finishing second. TSM is second on the DPC points table with 1280 points and has also guaranteed a direct TI11 invite.
Following OG and TSM as winners of the Stockholm Major 2022 are:
- Tundra Esports won a $75,000 prize pool and 530 DPC points.
- Gaimin Gladiators won $50,000 in prize money and 460 DPC points.
- Thunder Awaken and Beastcoast tied for fifth and sixth place, receiving $25,000 prize money and 385 DPC points.
- With 240 DPC points, Fnatic and BetBoom Team finished seventh and eighth, receiving $12,500 prize money each.
