The first-ever South American Dota 2 Major is about to come to a close, with the Grand Final of the Lima Major 2023 due to take place later today.

Lima Major 2023: Gaimin Gladiators vs Team Liquid Grand Final schedule and betting odds
It has been an absolutely fantastic Major, but all good things must come to an end. The eighteen hopeful teams who started out at the Lima Major on February 22 have been whittled down to just two, who are ready to duke it out for the honour of being crowned the winner of the first Dota 2 Major of the year.
The winner of today's match stands to win $200,000 out of the total $500,000 prize pool, alongside 400 DPC points. The runner-up meanwhile will receive $100,000 and 350 DPC points.
The games at this tournament have been played under Dota 2 patch version 7.32, and a new patch for the game is expected to release once the Lima Major has come to an end.
The end of the first Dota 2 Major of the year is just around the corner, as Gaimin Gladiators gets ready to face off against Team Liquid in the Grand Final, taking place at 20:00 GMT.
Gaimin Gladiators (1.41) vs Team Liquid (2.86)
Gaimin Gladiators have delighted fans with their stunning performance through this year's Winter Major, having stormed into the Playoffs with a series of 2-0 wins. They easily faced off the likes of Team Aster and Entity in the Upper Bracket Quarter and Semifinals, and indeed have already defeated Team Liquid once already at this Major. Gaimin claimed a 2-0 victory over Liquid in the March 4 Upper Bracket Final, and is well-placed to do so again - and thereby claim the ultimate victory later tonight.

But Team Liquid aren't going to take that loss lying down. While Gaimin Gladiators' Lima run has been impressive, Liquid has pulled off an absolutely astonishing performance so far. They were by far the most successful team in the Group Stage, boasting a record of six wins, two draws, and zero losses. That incredible performance only continued into the Playoffs, with Liquid handily defeating the likes of Talon Esports and Shopify Rebellion, before being sent down to the Lower Bracket by Gaimin Gladiators. They've earned their right for a rematch after once again defeating Talon Esports in the Lower Bracket Final, and absolutely have the momentum behind them to take their revenge tonight.
Gaimin Gladiators are the favourites to win here, with odds of 1.41 vs Team Liquid's 2.86.
