A new season of European League of Legends action is about to get under way as LEC Spring 2020 begins and Luckbox community member Boukev has shared his predictions for some of the matches in week one.

LEC Spring 2020 predictions
Last year the LEC has delivered some of the best teams in the world and 2020 is looking to be no different.
The top teams - G2 Esports and Fnatic - have kept most of their rosters intact while the lower teams have gathered new talent from the lower European regional teams and are prepared to take the fight with the household names.
This season will show if the talent pool of Europe is wide enough to sustain a high level of play for all teams or if the gap with the top becomes bigger.
Looking at the overall picture I expect Fnatic to pick up two wins in the first week against Misfits gaming and Origen but Origen might be an incredible difficult match for Fnatic. Origen looks to actually be a top contender this season with the addition of Xerxe from Splyce and Upset from Schalke 04. So with current odds of 2.6x for an Origen win I might fancy a go against a Fnatic win.
Boukev's best bet: Origen to win vs Fnatic at 2.6x
While most analysts predict Excel Esports to have another bottom-ranked year in Europe, I am betting on their best year to happen in 2020. Their bottom lane has had improvements with the arrival of Patrik and Tore (Norskeren) but a lot will depend on Mickey's performance and consistency.
With the break just behind us I am betting on a good start for Excel esports. Their opponents this week are Schalke 04 and Rogue, so if Excel want a good start chances are to be found against FC Schalke 04.
FC Schalke 04 seems to bet on great players of the past to regain their shine of old with their reintroduction into the LEC. I am betting on that they need a moment to adjust so Excel could be upsetting the odds in this match.
Boukev's best bet: Excel to win vs FC Schalke 04 at 2.1x
If you feel a bit less risky, I am betting on Rogue to continue their great summer season. With just one change to the team I feel like Rogue could again end up in the top three of the Spring season. Beating both Misfits gaming and Excel Esports should be the start to make that happen.
Boukev's best bet: Rogue to win vs both Misfits gaming and Excel esports for a 2-fold Combo of 2.0x
If you want to bet on upsets, great odds can be found betting against the European favorite G2 Esports. But without any changes to their team (besides a role swap between Perkz and Caps) it is very hard to imagine a win for either SK gaming or newcomer Mad lions against G2.
So, looking at better opportunities I do have some faith in Mad Lions to pick up their first win against Team Vitality. Vitality are missing a major player in Milica due to visa issues and I am counting on the rookies from Mad Lions to show their raw talent and enthusiasm in their second match.
Boukev's best bet: Mad lions to beat Team vitality at 1.5x
