LDLC to replace Diviiii with afro, report claims
The report goes on to claim that the changes to HEET's roster are a result of financial difficulties, alongside the disappointing results seen by the current roster.
That last part is hard to argue - the organisation was founded in 2021, and to date has very little to brag about. The team has had some successes, such as winning ESL Challenger League Season 40 and the Elisa Invitational Spring 2022, they have struggled in more recent months. The team failed to qualify for the IEM Rio Major, and ranked in 21st - 24th place at ESL Pro League Season 16, where they failed to make it out of the group stage.
1pv.fr also claims that HEET will not be participating in the EPL Conference - which was confirmed by the organisation's CS:GO manager on Twitter, who revealed that the team is in a "rebuilding process," promising further updates in the following days or weeks.
Still, last year was hardly any better for LDLC either, and didn't compete in any S-tier events in 2022 at all. It's a less than impressive record, and one that the French organisation is clearly keen to change. Should the report prove accurate, afro will be taking Diviiii's spot on the team - who joined LDLC when the organisation acquired GenOne's roster last year.
Should afro join LDLC, their new roster would consist of François "AMANEK" Delaunay, Aurélien "afro" Drapier, Filip "Graviti" Branković, Arthur "Snobling" Benard, Hugo "Brooxsy" Di Bono, alongside coach Lambert "Lambert" Prigent and substitute Eythan "unshaark" Solomon.
After a difficult 2022, both HEET and LDLC seem keen to rebuild for the 2023 season - which is due to kick off in earnest on January 19 with BLAST Premier Spring Groups.
