Furyhunter was the most successful player of the tournament until the grand final
The most successful player of the first three weeks was Furyhunter. He also finished first in Group A of the playoffs as undefeated. Here, he defeated his rival Jarla, whom he would meet again in the grand final, 3-1.
In the semifinal match, his opponent was the German player Seiko. He won the match with a competitive score of 3-2 and advanced to the grand final.
The journey to the grand final was not easy for Jarla
Czech player Jarla finished the first three weeks in fifth place. In Group A of the playoffs, he finished second behind Furyhunter. He won 3-2 against SuperFake in Group A.
In the semifinals, he faced French player xBlyzes. He won 3-2 against his opponent and advanced to the grand final.
Jarla pulled himself together in the grand final
The Czech player showed a quite different game against his Danish opponent. With this performance, he defeated his opponent, whom he lost 1-3 in the group stage with the same score, and became the Grandmasters 2022 Season 1 EMEA champion.
