February is upon us: VCT Challengers are beginning, CDL qualifiers continue with full steam, IEM Katowice is on the horizon, DotA and LoL events keep rolling and so does R6 Invitational.
Let’s check out the highlight tournaments and events of February week 2:
CS:GO events of February week 2, 2022

ESL Challenger #48
ESL Challenger 48, also known as Anaheim 2022 begins on February 11th and will end on 13th with the conclusion of its playoff. It will take place in Anaheim, California, with a prize pool of $100,000 that will be spread among the top 4 teams.
Winner of this qualifier will have a seed at EPL Conference S16: A B-tier tournament according to Liquidpedia, nonetheless it will bring champions of regional leagues from all over the world.
The format of the tournament will look like this:
- Group Stage:
- Two double-elimination format (GSL) Groups
- Each group has 4 teams
- Opening & Winners' matches are Bo1
- Elimination & Decider matches are Bo3
- Top two teams from each group advance to the Playoffs
- Playoffs:
- Single-Elimination bracket
- All matches are Bo3
Directly invited teams to this tournament are: FURIA Esports, Virtus.pro, Dignitas, Movistar Riders.
Dota 2

Dota Pro Circuit 2021-22
DPC SA 2021/2022 Tour 1, DPC SEA 2021/2022, DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 1 Regional Finals will be played this week, beginning on February 11th and ending on February 13th and will mark the end of the Winter Tour. Rest of the regions will be played during the third week of February.
Prize pool will be distributed among the top 2 teams respectively: $50,000 for the 1st contender and $15,000 for the 2nd place, and the top 2 teams will gain 250 and 130 DPC points.
Format rules of the regional finals will follow these:
- Double-elimination bracket
- Grand Final is Bo5, all other matches are Bo3
League of Legends

LCS 2022 Spring Season
Whilst other regional LoL leagues continue forward, The LCS 2022 Spring Season will finally begin on this Saturday, February 5th and will last until March 27th.
It is the first split of the tenth year of North America's professional League of Legends league. Ten teams compete in a round robin group stage.
The format of the league will look like this:
- 10 teams participate
- Double Round Robin
- Matches are best of one
- Top six teams qualify for Playoffs
- Top 4 teams start in the upper bracket
- 5th and 6th start in the lower bracket

Valorant

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022
VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America, EMEA, Brazil Stage 1 Challengers are also beginning this week on February 11th and will continue until March 27th.
Tour’s format will look like this:
- Group Stage
- Round Robin
- Each group has six teams
- All matches are Bo3
- Top 4 teams advance to Playoffs
- Bottom 2 teams are eliminated
- Playoffs
- Double Elimination
- All matches (excl. Losers' Final and Grand Final) are Bo5
There will be a Prize Pool of $200,000 that will be spread among the top 4 teams. Top 2 teams from each regional tournament will advance to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Masters Stage 1.
Rainbow Six Siege

Six Invitational 2022
The S tier tournament of Siege: Six Invitational 2022 will begin on Tuesday, February 8, and end on Sunday, February 20, where best of the best will face each other.
The prize pool will have a cap of USD $3,000,000 and the rest will be redistributed to support the Rainbow Six Esports circuit for the 2022 season.

Format of the tournament will be like this:
- Group Stage: February 8th - 12th, 2022
- Four Round-Robin format groups
- Each group has 5 teams
- All teams play each other once
- All matches are Bo3
- 1st placed team from each group advance to the Upper Bracket Round 2 of the Playoffs.
- 2nd-3rd placed teams from each group advance to the Upper Bracket Round 1 of the Playoffs.
- 2nd placed team in each group will pick their first opponent for the playoffs from the 3rd place finish from any group other than their own group.
- The pick order will be determined by comparing the scores of all 2nd place finishers.
- Bottom team in each group is eliminated.
- Remaining teams advance to the Lower Bracket of the Playoffs.

- Grand Final is Bo5
Call of Duty

Call of Duty League 2022: Stage 1
CDL 2022: Stage 1 begins today, i.e., February 4, and will end on February 20 where the top teams will face off in March’s Call of Duty League 2022: Stage 1 Major.
Format of the CDL will be:
- Regular Season - February 4th - July 24th, 2022
- 4-Stage Season
- All Matches Bo5
- Each Stage comprised of Online Qualifiers and a Major
- Online Qualifiers
- 5 matches played per team
- Online Qualifier standings will be used to determine seeding in each Major for all 12 Teams
- Major
- Double Elimination Bracket
- CDL Points
- Teams will earn CDL Points for each match win
- Additional CDL Points distributed based on the performance in each Major
- Playoffs: To be announced
