ImmortalFaith joins Nigma Galaxy as head coach
The new head coach will be replacing Roman “rmN-” Paley, who has been coaching for Nigma since the team's inception.
While ImmortalFaith is popular among Dota fans for his in-game guides, Nigma is likely looking at his impressive coaching credentials in a bid to turn the team's fortunes around.
ImmortalFaith is the founder and head coach of Romanian team Vikin.gg, which founded in 2019 with a roster of Indji "Shad" Lub, Jason "TANNER" Weedon, Tobias "Tobi" Buchner, Adam "Aramis" Moroz and Melchior "Seleri" Hillenkamp. The team had a promising debut year, coming in second place in the Bukovel Minor 2020 Europe Qualifier - where they lost to Team Nigma, coincidentally.
Things really picked up for Vikin.gg in 2020 however, when they signed Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan. Under ImmortalFaith's leadership, the team won a total of 10 tournaments in 2020 - most notably winning the European divisions of BTS Pro Series 3 and The Summit 13, earning their reputation as a tier 1 team.
Outside of the new head coach, Nigma Galaxy has yet to announce any changes to their roster. However, fans have begun to speculate that some changes may be on the horizon, given the team's poor performance in recent years - having failed to qualify for The International two years in a row.
The roster lock is fast approaching on December 9 - so Nigma Galaxy will soon have to announce if they are indeed switching things up, or if they're hoping that their new head coach can turn things around for the team.
