And the Group A lower bracket final will decide one of those remaining free spots, with FaZe Clan due to go head-to-head with Team Liquid for the right to move onto the Playoffs, while the loser will be eliminated from the tournament.

FaZe Clan (1.42) vs Team Liquid (2.88)
It's a surprise to see FaZe Clan in the lower bracket, given their incredible 2022 run that saw them crowned the champions of last year's IEM Katowice. They were knocked down into the lower bracket at the hands of their Katowice rivals G2, who claimed a 2-0 victory on February 5 - taking revenge for their grand final defeat at IEM Katowice 2022. That dramatic showdown aside, FaZe have been on predictably terrific form, having just recently ended IHC Esports' incredible Cinderella story in their 2-0 victory on February 6. FaZe Clan are clearly a team worth keeping your eye on and are well-placed to make it through to the Playoff stage.
But they'll need to beat Team Liquid to make it there. Despite starting their Katowice debut with a 2-0 victory over IHC Esports on February 4, they were quickly knocked down to the lower bracket by Natus Vincere (NAVI), who claimed a 2-0 win of their own. Still, Liquid were able to stay in the tournament by eliminating Team Spirit through a 2-1 victory. It's a respectable run for Liquid, who have already improved on their 13-16th ranking at last year's IEM Katowice. Still, they're facing steep odds for their hopes of making it to the Playoffs.
The odds are in FaZe Clan's favour here, at 1.42 vs Team Liquid's 2.88 - meaning Liquid will need to push for an upset win to avoid being eliminated later today.
