Hampus is reportedly ready to return to Counter-Strike

After four months away, Ninjas in Pyjamas' Hampus "hampus" Poser is reportedly set to return to active Counter-Strike play.

Hampus "hampus" Poser to return to Counter-Strike

The 24-year-old player has been absent from the Counter-Strike scene since January of this year, after he stepped down from Ninjas in Pyjamas' active roster due to undisclosed health reasons.

That's according to HLTV, who reports that hampus' agency SUPP has stated that hampus is rg that the Swede is indeed "more than ready to come back," but did not clarify if the player would be returning to his team's active roster, or if he would try to join another team.

Certainly, Ninjas in Pyjamas would have to undergo a roster re-think if they wanted to find room for hampuslong-term, as his place on the team has been taken over by former Astralis player Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke since his departure.

In response to HLTV's report, Ninjas in Pyjamas COO Jonas "calc" Gundersen welcomed hampus back to Counter-Strike, and hinted at a roster re-think in the off season.

"I am very happy to see hampus back after taking some time off for himself. Esports keeps getting more intense as the years go by, and I have the utmost respect for people taking the time to recalibrate themselves to that environment," said calc.

"Having him back obviously puts us in a position with a deep pool of players available both on and off the bench, so we'll take our time to assess our long term vision properly in the off-season, and make sure we're positioned the best way possible to make an impact in CS2."

So it seems that a Ninjas in Pyjamas could be due for a roster change in the coming months - but does this mean that konfig will be stepping away to make room for hampus?
