GODSENT CS:GO: Iconic Swedish org back in the game

If you know CS:GO, you know GODSENT. Some of the biggest Swedish legends of the game have donned the jersey at one time or another, including a majority of the current NIP and Fnatic lineups.

GODSENT are the CS:GO team that gave a chance to a 15-year-old kid, and is ultimately responsible for catapulting Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin into Red Reserve and now Fnatic. An organisation that is integral to the fabric of Swedish Counter-Strike.

Markus "pronax" Wallsten is leading the CS:GO project, having announced a merger with the Final Tribe earlier this year in September, which has now culminated with the addition of the former Smash Esports lineup. The roster has now revealed that they have been playing without salary since their three-month trial contract ended with their previous employers.

New stance for NoChance

You may be more familiar with this lineup as NoChance, the banner they played under as they upset Mousesports in the opening round of the Berlin Major Europe Minor, eventually losing in a BO3 decider as Mouz got their revenge.

With that performance, it wasn't long before they were swiped up, and now by an organisation that offers them experienced management and stability.

This is a great move for fans of Counter-Strike history, with a nostalgia factor that is reminiscent of aristocracy re-entering the scene. Best of luck to the team as they bring the banner back into the fray.
