The ESL One Berlin Major 2023 has finally come to an end, with just one team left standing - as Gaimin Gladiators have been crowned as a Major winner for the second time in a row.

And that incredible run led Gaimin to face off against Team Liquid in the Grand Final, who had worked their way up through the Playoff's lower bracket. And despite Team Liquid's best efforts, Gaimin Gladiators were able to claim a decisive 3-1 win. Gaimin's victory was aided in particular by a sterling performance from Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov, who helped his team get their hands on the Berlin Major trophy.
With their victory, Gaimin Gladiators have been awarded $200,000 out of the $500,000 prize pool, alongside 500 Pro Circuit points. The overall prize pool split is as follows.
|Place||Team||Prize Money||DPC Points|
|5th-6th||Tundra Esports, OG||$25,000||300|
|7th-8th||Team Aster, Talon Esports||$12,500||200|
It's an incredible result for Gaimin Gladiators, made only more impressive by the fact that this is their second Major win in a row. Gaimin previously emerged as the champions of the Lima Major - where, coincidentally, they also faced off with Team Liquid in the Grand Final, claiming a 3-0 victory. They are now the fourth team in Dota 2 history to win two Majors in a row - joining the likes of OG, Virtus.pro and PSG.LGD.
Time will tell if they can keep up their winning streak at the next Dota 2 Major. The Bali Major is due to take place from June 29-July 9, and will close out the DPC before The International later this year.
