Jan "Swani" Müller will now be acting as G2 Esports' full-time coach, the organisation has announced.

The news comes via a video shared by the official G2 Esports Twitter account, in which they referred to Swani as the "winningest CS:GO coach in G2 history."
Swani has been with G2 for quite some time now, having first joined in 2019 as an analyst, joining from his former team FURIA Esports where he was also an analyst. However, shifted into coaching in November 2021, as he took over from former G2 coach Damien "maLeK" Marcel on an interim basis.
While that interim period was short-lived, he was later promoted to the position of assistant coach in January 2022, a role he held until October, when head coach Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam parted ways with G2, leaving Swani to once again step into the head coach position on an interim basis.
Swani's second stint as the team's interim head coach was a remarkably successful one, with G2 Esports winning both the BLAST Premier World Final as well as this year's IEM Katowice. Those successes saw G2 Esports briefly claiming the number-one spot on the HLTV team rankings, a position they recently lost to Heroic.
With a recent record like that, it is perhaps no surprise that G2 Esports is keen to keep Swani in the head coach position, particularly as the team gets ready to compete in the BLAST.tv Paris Major - which will take place from May 8-21.
Given their recent successes, G2 Esports are one of the favourites coming into the Major - and indeed have a real chance of emerging victorious at the last-ever CS:GO major.
