After almost two weeks of world-class CS:GO action, we finally have a winner! G2 Esports have been crowned the champions of this year's IEM Katowice, after facing off against Heroic in the Grand Final.

IEM Katowice 2023 results
G2 got their hands on the Katowice trophy through an undefeated run through the tournament, winning every single match they faced - and failed to concede even a single match until the dramatic grand final.
G2's first Katowice win came through a 3-1 win in the best-of-five grand final, taking Nuke with a score of 16-12, Mirage on 16-13, and Ancient with 16-7. Heroic meanwhile took Inferno with a score of 16-11, but otherwise failed to hold back G2's domination of this year's tournament. It's a spectacular result for G2, who performed brilliantly throughout the tournament, claiming the victory that was denied them at IEM Katowice 2022 - when they were defeated by FaZe Clan in the grand final.
While this is G2's first IEM Katowice win, it's the second in a row for Justin 'jks' Savage, who played for FaZe Clan as a stand-in player last year. Now with G2, jks more than did his part to help carry his team to victory, boasting a kill-death ratio of 80-62, and a rating of 1.20 according to HLTV.
As the winners of IEM Katowice 2023, G2 have received $400,000 from the $1,000,000 prize pool and has qualified for IEM Cologne 2023, taking place from July 25 to August 6.

G2 had been the favourites to win for much of the tournament, a reputation they earned through their spectacular Group Stage run, as well as their other successes at recent tournaments. The team has started off the 2023 season on a spectacular note, not only claiming victory in Katowice but also earning a 1st-3rd placement at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023. Those results come just months after the team closed out the 2022 season with a stunning victory at BLAST Premier World Final, seeing off Team Liquid to claim the $500,000 grand prize.
And we don't have long to wait before we get to see them in action again - with G2 due to compete at ESL Pro League Season 17, which will take place from February 22 to March 26.
It's a fantastic end to a thrilling tournament, but the CS:GO action doesn't stop there! We have a hectic 2023 schedule ahead of us, you can see the full match schedule right here. And don't forget to claim your free 100% bonus by signing up today!
