G2 and Heroic are heading to the BLAST Premier World Finals

The list of teams heading to the BLAST Premier World Finals is almost complete, with just two more spots left to fill before the tournament kicks off on December 14.

Heroic and G2 are the latest teams to earn their place at the World Finals, securing their tickets after their respective victories in the early stages of the Fall Finals.

It’s great news for both teams, but G2 is bound to be especially delighted. The team has had a bruising year, without a single title win to its name and has only made it to one final so far - at the IEM in Katowice, where they were ultimately defeated by FaZe Clan in a 3-0 loss.

Both Heroic and G2 are still competing at the Blast Premier Fall Finals, but knowing that they have a guaranteed spot at the World Finals is bound to take some of the pressure off.

Speaking of the Fall Finals, the ultimate winner of this week’s tournament will claim one of the two remaining spots - alongside their $200,000 of the $425,000 prize pool and 4,000 Blast Premier points.

The final remaining spot, meanwhile, will be claimed by whichever team can earn their spot by advancing up the BLAST leaderboard. If the winner of the Fall Finals has already qualified, then the spot will go to the next team in line on the leaderboard.

The other teams already qualified for the World Finals include Outsiders, who have earned their place through winning the IEM Rio Major, which ended earlier this month. Similarly, Team Vitality’s win at the ESL Pro League Season 16 secured their spot at the Finals.

Additionally, regardless of how things go at the Fall Finals, we’ll be seeing Natus Vincere (NAVI) again in December, after the team earned their invitation through their victory at the BLAST Spring Finals.

They’ll also be joined by FaZe Clan, who qualified for the World Finals following their victories at both the ESL Pro League Season 15 and the PGL Major in Antwerp.

The BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 will take place in Abu Dhabi, running from December 14 to December 18.
