SonicFox acceptance speech in full:
"Wow. I really won this shit! Oh my god - hey, look, mom!
"I guess I wanna say this is a big honour. I really really enjoy playing video games competitively. I've never really done it for the fame, I kinda just enjoy the rush of beating people up, y'know?
"One of my closest friends -Oh my god, I'm nervous - his dad had cancer. I said to him, whether I win or lose, I will be donating at least $10k of the prize winnings to his father for his stage-three cancer. I hope it works out for him.
"This is more scary than when I won EVO. For now I just give a shout out to the team that's helped me all the way, Echo Fox. I wanna give a shout out to all my friends back home, my best friend who's helped me out so much through life.
"As you guys may or may not know, I'm also super-gay. So I wanna give a super-shout out to all my LGBTQ+ friends who have help me through life.
"Obviously, I'm a furry, so shout out to all the furries.
"I guess all I've got to say is that I'm gay, black a furry (pretty much everything a Republican hates) and the best esports player of the whole year. Thank you so much."
