The final game of today, and indeed the last game before the weekend at MDL Paris sees Evil Geniuses vis Ninjas in Pyjamas. It’s a story of old friends, and unhappy reunions, as Peter ‘PPD’ Dager faces the team he once led to a title at The International with his new, far-from-improved side in hopes he can turn what has been a fairly disastrous season into something to write home about, or at least not lie to his family when Christmas comes.
Evil Geniuses vs Ninjas In Pyjamas is scheduled to start at 7.30pm BST / 8.30pm CEST. The game is an upper-bracket tie, meaning nobody goes home for losing, but the size of the teams and weight of history means it is more than just a dash of Dotes.

Winners and losers
The winner progresses to the Upper Bracket final, where either Secret or OG will await them, while the loser goes into an elimination game against PSG.LGD, who beat Virtus.pro 2-0.
Safe to say there are no easy games at this level, but the choice would be simple for most captains, and we don’t doubt PPD would prefer the insurance of staying in the upper bracket as long as possible. Of the teams still involved, NiP and OG are also more in need of a good result, as neither have booked a place in Shanghai yet, with OG facing the prospect of not getting to attempt a defence of their TI crown.

EG come in as favourites, as you’d expect after the season NiP have had to this point, and at 2.2 the 2-0 to the NA giants looks the most likely, with a 2-1 rated at 3.1. if you fancy the shock you can get 5.0 on NiP, and while they are not favourites the context and their need for DPC points means this could be time for that team to finally click and achieve the win they desperately need.
