Evil Geniuses Black has rounded out its roster by signing Paytyn "junior" Johnson, who joins the team to fill the spot left by former player Jerric "wiz" Jiang.

The 22-year-old player will join EG Black from his former team Complexity Gaming, where he spent a year-long stint, though was rarely on their active roster. He joins the team to replace wiz, who left EG Black back in January this year, after he was promoted to the main Evil Geniuses team.
Junior's career dates back to 2018, having started out on the CS:GO professional scene through teams such as Hot Ass and Lowkey Esports. However, he started making a name for himself in 2021, when he was picked up by FURIA Esports. Still, he was only on FURIA's active roster for five months, before being benched due to being unable to match the stellar performances he achieved with his former team, Triumph.
He found himself on the FURIA bench for six months, with a brief hiatus when the team let him play for Bad News Bears on loan from August 2021 to January 2022. That loan was brought to an end when Junior signed with his most recent team, Complexity Gaming, with whom he has been since January 2022.
Despite reuniting with his former Triumph teammate Michael "Grim" Wince, junior's move to Complexity was as troubled as his stint with FURIA - seeing him benched once again after just six months with the team, after he was replaced by Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli.
With the addition of Junior, the Evil Geniuses Black lineup now consists of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, Colby "Walco" Walsh, William "RUSH" Wierzba, Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott, Paytyn "junior" Johnson and coach Tommy "Axed" Ryan.
While we won't be seeing EG Black, Evil Geniuses (complete with former EG Black player Wiz) will be competing at ESL Pro League Season 17, taking place from February 22 to March 26. You can see the full upcoming match schedule right here, and remember to claim your free 100% bonus!
