The Major will begin with the group stage. Two groups of 9 will be played in a single round-robin. All matches in the group stage will be Bo2. Teams that finish in the top four of the groups will advance to the upper bracket stage of the playoffs. Fifth and sixth placed teams will continue from the lower bracket. The remaining teams will bid farewell to the Major early.
The playoffs will be played in a double-elimination bracket. Matches other than the grand final will be Bo3. The spectacular grand finale of the PGL Arlington Major 2022 will be Bo5.
