This year's IEM Katowice might be behind us, but the 2023 CS:GO season shows no sign of slowing down, with ESL Pro League Season 17 being just around the corner.

ESL Pro League Season 17 dates and format.
The first of the ESL's bi-annual events will kick off on February 22 and will offer over a month of world-class CS:GO action before it wraps up with the grand final on March 26
The excitement will begin with the Group Stage, in which the 32 teams will be fighting it out across Groups A, B, C and D - with eight teams in each group. The ESL has slightly changed the tournament this year, with the teams following a newly-introduced triple elimination bracket.
Every match during the Group Stage will be best-of-three, with the top four teams from each group advancing to the Playoffs. The first-placed team from each group will advance to the Quarterfinals, the teams in second will advance to the Round of 12, while the third and fourth-placed teams will qualify for the Round of 16.
Once in the playoffs, the 16 surviving teams will compete in a single elimination bracket, with all matches following a best-of-three series except the best-of-five grand final.
ESL Pro League Season 17 teams and prize pool
A majority of the 32 teams participating in ESL Pro League Season 17 have been invited due to their Permanent Partner Team status, which includes teams such as FaZe Clan and G2 Esports. There are a handful of exceptions, however. For instance, OG has been invited due to their position on the ESL World Ranking, while other teams have made it to ESL Pro League Season 17 through the various Regional Qualifiers.
