DPC SEA: Week 5 update, schedule and betting odds

DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour 3 Division I is coming to an end with only a few weeks left. Teams are fighting for spots in the Arlington Major and after some unexpected results last week, the fifth and sixth weeks will be even more important.

They looked like a clear favourite, but Fnatic conceded their first loss to Team SMG this week, a 1-3 team. SMG is out of playoff chances, but their win here made a big difference in the race. Even the disappointing T1 now has a chance to get to Texas. Polaris and Nigma Galaxy are stuck at the bottom and after SMG's win it looks like they will be relegated at the end of the season.

DPC SEA Week 4 recap

To kick off the week, RSG started with a strong performance against Nigma Galaxy. RSG played an incredible Dota 2 against their weak opponents and kept their Arlington Major hopes alive. Both games ended in 37 minutes, with RSG getting everything they wanted and playing comfortably.

Next, BOOM Esports faced Polaris Esports: one of the best teams in SEA against the worst one. BOOM proved with its commanding victories that the gap was as wide as everyone thought. The first game lasted 35 minutes before ending 30-8. BOOM struggled to beat Polaris in the second game, but finally did it thanks to a strong Void Spirit performance by Yopaj.

On Thursday, T1 took on Talon Esports in an attempt to end their unlucky streak, but could not execute it. Even though they tried to respond, T1 just could not overpower Talon and once again disappointed their fans, while Talon Esports left the series with a 2-0 win. Both games lasted more than 40 minutes, but Talon won them easier than it looked.

BOOM Esports continued on the last day of the week with another 2-0 win, but this time the opponent was an important one. Another championship contender, RSG, was utterly destroyed by BOOM. After losing the first game in 25 minutes, RSG fought back in the second game but it was not enough to stop BOOM. The score was 35-28, but Yopaj once again led his team to glory.

What followed was an incredible upset from SMG against Fnatic. Not only was a 1-3 team able to defeat the invincible Fnatic, but SMG somehow managed to crush Fnatic in less than an hour. The first game was 26-14 in 30 minutes and the second was 22-5 in 28 minutes. Fnatic was completely outplayed and SMG probably got the win that would keep them in Division I for the next season.

Fnatic (2.50) vs BOOM Esports - 12:00 CEST

BOOM Esports will play two games this week and could earn an immediate spot in the Arlington Major. Their first opponent will be a disappointing T1, which they should win considering how strong they looked during the season. They will then face Fnatic to close out the week. This is a tough one to judge as both teams have been unstoppable at different times in Tour 3.

This is also the last chance for T1 to finally make a move and enter the Arlington Major race. If they take down BOOM and follow it up by beating the already disappointing Polaris, they have the chance to make history.
