DPC Europe: Week one update, schedule and betting odds

The Dota Pro Circuit began its third tour this week with five matches in Western and Eastern Europe. The best European teams met to get off to a good start in their hunt for the Arlington Major tickets. The best performance between the two regions came from Natus Vincere. Let's have a look at what happened in the first week.

One of the few teams to play two matches, NAVI won both matches and Pari Parni lost both in the DPC Eastern Europe. On the Western side, Team Secret won only one game, while Alliance lost both.

DPC Europe - Summary of the first week

Below are the highlights of the first week's matches.

DPC Western Europe

DPC WEU started with OG against Team Secret on June 7. OG took advantage of Team Secret's new developing synergy and won the first game in 43 minutes and the second in 31 minutes to dominate the series.

In the second game of the day, Gaimin Gladiators struggled to get off to a strong start against Entity. Entity managed to shock GG by taking control of the series and winning both games in 41 minutes.

Tundra Esports faced Alliance on June 8, and it was a very easy win for the European team. The series lasted less than an hour in total and Tundra Esports left the first week with a win.

goonsquad faced Team Liquid in the closest series of the week. After a 35-minute quick win by TL, goonsquad evened the series in a 75-minute marathon. Such a defeat must have hurt TL badly because goonsquad won the decider in 35 minutes to secure the victory.

The last series of the week was Team Secret against Alliance. Alliance put up more resistance but were once again defeated by their opponent. Secret won the first game in 41 minutes and the second in 31 minutes.

Eastern Europe

On the Eastern European side, the games were even more one-sided. NAVI defeated CIS Rejects in less than an hour in the first match of the day.

Mind Games managed to resist longer, but still couldn't stop Rune Eaters from getting the 2-0 in 39 and 44 minutes.

Outsiders defeated One Move with 27 and 25 minute quick wins, another series that lasted less than an hour.

The next day, Team Spirit was on the verge of a similar performance against Pari Parni, but Pari showed incredible resilience even after being defeated in 28 minutes in the first game. After a 61-minute battle, Spirit secured the win, but they were definitely sweating over it.

Finally, NAVI picked up their second win of the week against BetBoom without much trouble.
