Dota Underlords: ESL One Hamburg to host first esports event

ESL will host its first Dota Underlords esports event at ESL One Hamburg, the org has announced.

Dota Underlords - Valve's own version of Dota Auto Chess - was released to Battle Pass owners on June 14th and ESL has acted fast to set up its competitive debut.

The Dota Underlords event will be a "side tournament" at ESL One Hamburg, which is due to take place from October 25th to October 27th, 2019, at the Barclaycard Arena.

Details for the Dota Underlords event are thin on the ground so far, other than the fact there will be a €5,000 prize pool. It will be free to join for all fans attending the event.

As for the main event, 12 Dota 2 teams will be at ESL One Hamburg with a prize pool of $300,000.
