Dota Pro Circuit 21/22 Tour 3 Western Europe Division I is starting

After the end of the Stockholm Major, it's time for the last tour of the 21/22 season in Dota 2 esports. One of the most important regions in the DPC, Western Europe Division I starts tomorrow and four teams will make it to the Arlington Major, the last step before The International 22.

OG, Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid, Tundra Esports, Team Secret, Entity, goonsquad and Alliance will take part in the third tour of the year. The competition will last six weeks and on July 13, we will know which four teams will participate in Texas and which two teams will be relegated to Division II.

Teams competing in the DPC 21/22 Tour 3 WEU Division I

There weren’t many transfers in the offseason, so let's have a look at the teams one by one.

OG, after winning Tour 2 and ESL One Stockholm 2022, will be the favourites in Tour 3 too. Yuragi, bzm, ATF, Taiga and Misha are looking for their second championship in a row. Misha and coach Chuvash couldn’t attend the tournament in Stockholm, so they will be even more passionate about making it to Texas this time.

A brand new team on the Dota 2 competitive scene, Gaimin Gladiators are keeping the squad they took over from Team Tickles: DyrachYO, BOOM, Ace, tOfu and Seleri. They won the Tour 1 regional final, finished second in Tour 2 Division I and fourth in ESL One Stockholm 2022.

Team Liquid also had a good year overall in 2022 until the big disappointment in Stockholm. MATUMBAMAN, miCKe, zai, Boxi and iNSaNiA will try harder this time to achieve a better result internationally.

Tundra Esports are proud of their result in Stockholm, where they finished third. skiter, Nine, 33, Saksa and Sneyking will once again be the dark horse of Western Europe and give the favourites a run for their money.

Team Secret secured the right to compete in Division I by finishing fifth in the last tour, missing the Major by just one win difference. They replaced SumaiL, sent him to Nigma Galaxy and got Crystallis from Entity. Crystallis, Nisha, iceiceice, YapzOr and Puppey will work together to take the team to the Major this time after a disappointing year so far.

Entity also secured a spot for this tour by finishing Tour 2 just above the relegation zone. After sending Crystallis to Secret, they brought in Russian player Pure. Pure joined Stormstormer, Tobi, Kataomi and Fishman to get a better result for Entity this time.

goonsquad was promoted from Division II after their successful run. The Scandinavian roster consisting of aQua, LIMMP, s4, Handsken and Peksu will try to surprise big names and at least secure a place in Division I for next year.

The second team to be promoted from Division II is Alliance. Nikobaby, w33, symetricaL and CTOMAHEH1 do not have much of a chance against the big names like OG or TL, but they can always try to take advantage of their opponents' complacency.
