And you worried there was no esports to enjoy over Christmas. Fear not, the League of Legends Demacia Cup 2019 is here to keep you entertained during the holidays. Twenty teams are involved from LPL and LDL, meaning LoL fans are in for some wonderful winter action.
Worlds 2019 challengers Invictus Gaming and Royal Never Give Up are among the teams attending, along with the champions FunPlus Phoenix.
League of Legends Development League (LDL) is the second League of Legends league in China and comprises of 16 academy and nine independent teams.
The Demacia Cup 2019 features all the sixteen teams from LPL along with the top four independent teams from the LDL Summer Season. LPL Teams will have to play with their starting rosters.

Playoff stage (December 26th-29th, 2019)
The Demacia Cup 2019 playoff stage will take place in Chongqing, China and is a single-elimination bracket where all matches are best-of-five.

Demacia Cup 2019 group stage is featuring four single Round Robin groups of five teams seeded according to the summer season results. All matches are best-of-one. It is taking place in Hangzhou, China for the Group A and B and in Suzhou, China for the Group C and D.
The top two teams of each group advance to Demacia Cup 2019 playoff stage, all the other teams are eliminated. Head-to-head record is used in case of a tie.
