CDL 2022 Major 2 Online Qualifiers recap

The third and final week of Major 2 Qualifiers finished with some unexpected results, not surprisingly OpTic Texas yet again dominated the qualifiers, but last year’s champions Atlanta FaZe albeit still being a top team, fell behind in the race and became the 4th place.

As teams prepare for the second LAN Major of the season, Let’s take a look at the current results and standings and how the teams fared throughout the Stage 2 Major Qualifiers.

  • OpTic Texas takes the first seed with a winning streak of 5-0 in the Qualifiers stage
  • Ravens, Breach, and FaZe fill out the top 4 slots.
  • Major 2 begins on March 31 and will end on April 3.

Power shifts and analysis

While Major 2 Qualifiers progressed, there were some big power shifts in the Call of Duty League.

The qualifications for this major were extremely difficult, with some well-known teams ending up in the losers bracket. However, one squad in particular dominated from the beginning until the end; OpTic Texas

Add some new rosters and some intriguing potential matches, and you have the makings of a terrific tournament. With that in mind, here are some things to look out for throughout the Major II event.

While the Major 2 Qualifiers were underway, there were some significant power adjustments in the Call of Duty League. Seattle Surge and LA Thieves continued to deteriorate whilst bottom-placed teams like Paris Legion and New York Subliners showed much more tenacity to pick up some victories.
