We are heading into yet another crazy week of CBLOL, as there are five teams tied for first place with a score of 7-3. After an amazing week 5, planets aligned perfectly to allow such a thing to happen. If you follow CBLOL regularly, you know crazy things happen in Brazil a lot, but it got even better this week.
While that happened, the bottom of the league also stirred up as INTZ managed to find a win against KaBuM! that looked like they would win CBLOL this year. Aside from LOUD defeating FURIA on the second day, that was the sole upset of this week, all the favourites managed to win their games. Check out the details below.
CBLOL 2022 Split 1 Week 5 recap
The fifth week started with a surprise with the underperforming Netshoes Miners winning a 40 minutes game against FURIA Esports, following a great Vex performance. RED Canids took down paiN Gaming, the interesting part was the Kog’Maw mid, although the carry was a 9-0-6 Xin Zhao. KaBuM! easily outclassed Flamengo Esports, and LOUD took the deserved win with a 7-0-9 Ahri performance against Rensga Esports.
After Liberty defeated INTZ easily with a 9-1-4 Corki, it was settled: mid laners affect CBLOL games heavily. RED Canids kept that going during their 25-minutes win against Rensga, and INTZ too with a great Twisted Fate performance that handed them the upset against KaBuM!. Liberty took down paiN Gaming, Netshoes utterly destroyed Flamengo Esports, and on the last game of the day, LOUD stomped FURIA, allowing the latter to get only two kills in the entire game, ending it in 30 minutes with a score of 16-2.

There are five leaders in the league because FURIA had a 0-2 in week 5. They will fight hard to bounce back this week, and they have two opponents from the bottom of CBLOL, so that should be an easy task for them. LOUD vs RED Canids will be a game between two 7-3 teams and their forms are similar, so it’s an important one for the fate of the playoffs.
The next day, RED Canids will face Liberty this time. It will be a tough weekend for them, but a 2-0 might secure them the playoffs. The other matches, unfortunately, look one-sided, but as you saw from last week, anything is possible in the CBLOL.
