There was much love for coach rOtk as Vici Gaming completed an unlikely victory at the DreamLeague Season 11 Major in Stockholm.
The Chinese org defeated Virtus.pro 3-2 in a breathless final in Sweden despite being among the outsiders in the eyes of many. It also Vici's spot at TI9 in Shanghai later in 2019.
Vici's line-up of Paparazi, Yang, Ori, Fade and Dy had only reached the DreamLeague Major thanks to victory in the StarLadder ImbaTV Minor in Kiev but fought their way through the upper bracket in Sweden with victories over Team Secret, PSG.LGD and Fntatic on their way to the final and the $350,000 first prize.
Praise for rOtk and co
Vici's performance earned plenty of praise, with coach Bai "rOtK" Fan earning much of the plaudits.
In an interview with VPEsports, Vici's Ori revealed rOtk had told the team "this is a new chapter, a new beginning and he encouraged us to keep fighting together down the road".
