Group B results
A three-way tie was formed in Group B, just like in Group A. Execration, RSG and Team SMG each had 2 wins and 1 loss, while Fnatic did not win a single match.
As a result, the time rating tiebreaker rule was also taken as the basis and Execration finished first in the group.
RSG finished second in the group according to the rules. Even though Team SMG won against RSG, they ended up in third place.
Considering the situation in both groups, using time rating as a tiebreaker did not make much sense to me. Maybe there would not have been such a problem if the matches had not been Bo1’s, or the three teams could have faced each other again.
Playoff matches progressed as predicted
The first stage of the four-team playoffs was the semi-finals. Although BOOM Esports unexpectedly fell behind against RSG, they managed to be the team that made it to the final with a comeback.
Execration, on the other hand, did not show much presence against Polaris Esports and Polaris Esports advanced to the final without difficulty.
